Bo wakes up in his hospital bed, and can’t remember what he desperately wanted to tell Carly the night before. Carly asks if he remembers who did this to him. Bo does not even remember pulling his breathing tube out. Just then, Roman walks in. After he checks on his brother,Cop Roman starts asking Bo questions- “What’s the last thing you remember?” Bo says he remembers being over at Victor’s place, but nothing after that.

Hope wakes up (as her normal self) in the Kiriakis mansion and sees that she has a missed call from Carly- and dismisses it. Later, she comes downstairs and sees Justin. He tells her that Bo is in the hospital and was attacked.

Maggie and Victor are at the hospital, waiting to see Bo. Caroline shows up, mad that no one called her. Victor says it was Roman’s decision not to call. “Well, you had Maggie to get you through the night”, Caroline says. She storms off, and Maggie tells Victor to go apologize. He does.

Roman tells Bo what happened to him. “Close call- one stroke of a match from your last ride!” Carly gets upset and says they need to quit being all “Starsky & Hutch”- this was serious and Bo could have died! Carly & Bo hug as he reassures her that he knows how serious it was. Hope walks in to see Carly with her head on Bo’s chest. Hope says that she got assigned the case and needs to ask Bo questions. Bo tells Hope that his last clear memory is at Victor’s place. Carly says that the reason Bo cannot remember is that he was drugged with large doses of a compound that is found in sleeping agent. It can cause memory loss or even death. Bo flashes to an image of a coffee cup. Victor and Caroline walk in to visit Bo, and Hope asks to speak to Carly in the hallway. Hope asks where Carly was last night when Bo was attacked. Carly is defensive and asks Hope if she is trying to pin the crime on her. Hope explains she wants to know who could have known she’d be gone all night. Carly said the hospital schedule is common knowledge, and she also called Bo to let him know.

Later, Hope sees Justin and remarks that there were no prints anywhere (other than those that can be accounted for- like Hope’s) and that the smoke detectors and the alarm had been disabled- so someone out there knew a lot of information about the crime scene.

Victor asks Maggie if he can take her home, after his visit with Bo. Victor reminds Maggie that that is what friends do-and they are friends. Maggie says “I guess”. Victor says “You are crazy about me” Maggie says “Maybe, but not as crazy as you are about yourself!”

Back in Bo’s room, Bo asks Hope if she is going to tell Ciara what happened. Hope says no, she doesn’t want Ciara to know how close she (and Hope) came to losing Bo. Hope is worried that t perpetrator is still out there. Bo remarks that Hope is a good detective. Bo holds Hope’s hand to reassure her that he is fine. Carly walks into the room to see Bo holding Hope’s hand.

Phillip calls Melanie and tells her to be ready-He’s picking her up in 10 minutes. She hangs up and Nathan walks through the door. He tells Melanie he just came by to get some things from Maggie’s basement, as he is moving in with Stephanie. Melanie says that is good, because if Stephanie “wakes up in the middle of the night barfing or covered in welts- there’s a doctor right there!” Seriously, she says,she wants him to be as happy as she & Phillip are. Nathan goes downstairs to get boxes, and then Melanie leaves with Phillip.

Phillip surprises Melanie with a picnic at the beach, and he was able to get her nursing school grades ahead of time. Melanie “aced” her finals, and since she is in the Accelerated Program- she’ll be a nurse before Chloe has the baby. Melanie remarks that maybe she’ll be able to help deliver her baby brother/sister. Phillip quickly changes the subject and gives Melanie a bracelet. He says she’s the best thing that ever happened to him. She says “Think you got that backwards” Phillip flashes back to telling Chloe that is the baby is his, he’ll always be there for her...

Adrienne stops by to see Stephanie. She says Steve called to express concern for Nathan & Stephanie moving in together. Steve wanted to come talk some sense into Stephanie, but Adrienne talked him out of it. Stephanie says she’s happy, and that she knows Aunt Adrienne and Uncle Justin were happy when they were young, and they can be happy again.
Nathan brings his things to Stephanie’s. When he leaves the room, she finds a picture of Melanie & Nathan in one of the boxes.

Adrienne runs into Phillip at the Brady Pub. She says he is lucky she vouched for him. Apparently a neighbor complained when Phillip snuck into the apartment building where Adrienne (and Chloe & Daniel) lives-e “tailgated” instead of being buzzed in, and Adrienne vouched for him. Melanie walks in, overhearing this, and wants to know why Phillip was at her Dad’s house. Phillip explains that he was helping pick up some things for Chloe.

Stefano is reading Madelyn’s obituary. Kate can’t believe she’s gone. Stefano says he is sorry she died, but not sorry that the secret died with her. Kate tells Stefano that she worries she missed something in Maddie’s safety deposit box. When Stefano leaves the room, Kate says he needs to brush up on his Shakespeare “The evil that men do lives on after them...quite literally.”

Chad is alone at the Brady Pub when Will walks in. Will says he’s sorry that he told Chad about his mom’s secret, and wishes he never knew about Maddie’s past as a “whore”. Chad says there’s nothing they can do about it now. Chad & Will head for the pier where Maddie died. Chad leaves flowers, and Will reminds him that his mom’s past was not who she ended up being. Chad says he needs to know the truth, what his mom was hiding. He wants to talk to Kate. Will asks Chad to let it go-Chad says no.

Later, Kate heads to the Brady Pub, where she runs into D.A. Woods. She expresses her condolences, and he says “Go to Hell”. Kate tells the D.A. that she wanted to donate to one of Maddie’s charities. The D.A. says that he doesn’t know what charity she’d want, because her paperwork and everything from her safety deposit box is all gone. Kate acted surprised to hear this. Kate arrives home later and pulls a copy of Chad’s birth certificate from her purse. It shows that Chad was born 3/3/1990 at Salem University Hospital, and that Maddie is his mom. Nothing else is shown on screen. Kate remarks that she has the only copy left. Stefano walks in and says “What did you say?” Kate acts like she was just concerned about Chad, since his dad is not handling the death well. Stefano walks out, and Kate gets a phone call from Lucas.

Theo & Lexie see Abe at the hospital. Theo remarks that Aunt Hope has treasures, and that Ciara lost the treasure. Later, on the beach, Theo digs up a wallet from the sand. He brings it to his parents and says it is a treasure. “Auntie Hope, Ciara, treasure!”
