Maggie Horton

Maggie was a disabled and orphaned farm girl when Mickey stumbled through his amnesiac haze to her doorstep. Once in her Prince Charming's arms, Maggie found the medical help she needed to walk again, but emotional pressures (moving to Salem, Mickey's true identity, issues around motherhood and having a foster child taken away) led her through a tough bout with alcohol, which she eventually overcame. She also has myasthenia gravis.

Mickey was presumed dead when Stefano abducted him. During that time, Maggie nearly married Don Craig. She also received romantic attention from Dr. Neil Curtis, who turned out to be the sperm donor of her child, Sarah.

Maggie is the head of the Salem Arts Council and also volunteers at the hospital. Maggie and Alice have an investment in Billie's cosmetic company, Countess Wilhelmina. On the home front, she and Mickey have settled into married mid-life contentment.

Unfortunately, Maggie's wasn't the happiest homecoming. She returned to Salem to discover that her beloved husband Mickey had remarried in her absence. The new woman in his heart? Her housekeeper, Bonnie Lockhart! And Bonnie wasn't about to give up her new status as a Horton without a fight. The three moved into the Horton home together and the two women are fighting over their man.

Maggie appeals to Bonnie to leave Mickey but the ex-Mrs. Lockhart has her heels dug in. Maggie tries to bribe her and it looks like it might work, but Bonnie refuses. Maggie wants the check back but Bonnie has decided to keep it to show Mickey that Maggie is playing dirty. Maggie tries to grab the check but Max goes after her.

Since Mickey was out all night at the police department, the romantic dinner Maggie planned becomes a breakfast. Maggie tries to reminisce but Bonnie crashes in and immediately gets Mickey's sympathy when she tells of Mimi's medical condition. Bonnie and Maggie go at it again but in the end, Maggie is more resolved than ever to get Mickey back, and she is going to fight dirty!

Maggie, Doug, Julie and Mickey throw an Anniversary party for Alice -- and Tom. Maggie considers leaving Mickey if he continues to fawn all over Bonnie. Julie tries to talk to Maggie but it appears Alice is the only person who can get through to her.

After Jack's return, Maggie gives him Abby's birthday cake to take to the hospital. He enters just as Jennifer and Abby are saying a final prayer and farewell to husband and father. An emotional family reunion takes place. Maggie and Mickey arrive with Jack Jr.

Bonnie thinks Maggie is about to receive a divorce settlement from Mickey and he is going to choose her! She's wrong. Mickey pledges his love to Maggie. Maggie and Alice can't help but think Bonnie is taking things too calmly. Bonnie is devastated when Mickey informs her that he has chosen to re-marry Maggie. She begs for alimony but Maggie won't hear of it; she has Alice's as a settlement. Bonnie goes on a last minute shopping spree. Chloe sings as Maggie and Mickey marry again.

Sami sees Nicole and Austin together, bonding over dinner and confronts them. Austin assures her they are not on a date but Sami still shouldn't have interrupted. He leaves with Nicole. Maggie stops Sami from following and tells her not to push too hard.

Lucas frets over losing an account and it looks like he might take a drink. Maggie comes to the rescue and talks to him.

When John and Marlena were separated, Maggie decides to do some matchmaking and gets the two of them alone together. He kisses her under the mistletoe and she responds!

Jennifer calls in Maggie and Alice to help Hope. Maggie tells the story of when Alice lost Addie and how it almost destroyed Alice and Tom. Alice urges Hope to be strong and fight for her marriage. Hope agrees to see Bo.

Frankie surprises Jennifer by taking her away to the Green Moutain Lodge. Maggie is there to baby sit. Jennifer confides in Maggie that Frankie might be moving too fast for her. Maggie urges her to go!

While on her island getaway that involved Patrick, Hope calls Mickey and asks him to file her divorce papers! Maggie gives her plea to save the marriage.

Jennifer confides in Maggie about Frankie. Maggie advises her to move on with him. Jennifer and Frankie tell Alice and Maggie they are engaged.

Frankie arranges a romantic dinner for Jennifer and they make love. Jack learns Jennifer is having dinner with Frankie from Maggie; she offers to interrupt them but Jack thinks Jennifer is where she needs to be.

Chelsea asks Maggie for a waitressing job at Chez Rouge. Maggie hires her on a trial basis. Chelsea is at Chez Rouge when Willow appears demanding her job back. Maggie agrees but Willow must train Chelsea. Willow sabotages Chelsea and convinces Maggie to fire her.

After the court hearing, Shawn goes to confront Willow. She tells Shawn that Victor paid her $10,000 to lie to the judge, but it's his own fault. Maggie intervenes and Shawn tells her what Willow has done. Maggie fires Willow.

Nick follows Rebert and Chelsea on their date. He urges Maggie to bust Chelsea for underage drinking. Chelsea rips into Nick for ruining her date and leaves. Maggie urges Nick to go after her.

Nick has offered to let Willow sleep in his room. Maggie finds Willow's panties and makeup in Nick's room and leaves a note for him saying they need to talk. Maggie later tells Nick his credit card is maxed out, then that his room's been ransacked.

Always the matchmaker, Maggie is now giving John advice about how to win back Marlena, while Mickey is helping EJ and Sami to stay together by giving EJ a job
