Jay Kenneth Johnson

As a child growing up in Springfield, Missouri, Jay Kenneth Johnson was torn between two loves: the theatre and athletics. As a star defensive back for his high school football team as well as a star in his school's plays and musicals, Jay learned the creativity, teamwork and discipline needed to excel in both fields. While majoring in theatre at Southwest Missouri State, Jay realized that acting was his destiny. He moved to Hollywood after graduation and has been fulfilling his high school dreams ever since. Jay is very excited about his return to Days of our Lives, the television series where he landed his big break in show business. Jay stars as Philip Kiriakis, the troubled heir to the Kiriakis fortune. Jay is thrilled to be back in the world of daytime TV, and glad to be with his old friends again at Days. Jay can also be seen on the small screen in a recurring role on the NBC comedy Scrubs. He was a regular on the Fox drama North Shore and has also guest starred on CSI: Miami, Charmed and CSI: NY. On the big screen, Jay has appeared in the independent comedy Hack! In his spare time, Johnson enjoys playing sports (especially football), rollerblading, going to the beach and reading. He also loves music, playing the piano and guitar, and would like to start his own band someday
